Technical Design and Direction
Mitech Design can co ordinate, document and manage the whole event production process. From rigging and staging plans right through to LED screen design and bump in and out management. Managing the various departments and contractors ensures a fast, safe and on time delivery of any event. Ian’s broad technical knowledge ensures for a smooth event from the rigging mark up to the last trucks leaving.
Floor Management and Stage Management
Zoe Anderson of Mitech Design has over 10 years experience in Theatrical and Event Stage Management, Live Television Floor Management and 2nd AD roles. Her experience includes “We Will Rock You” Asia tour, “Cats” Australian and Asia tour, “The X Factor”, “The One”, “The Price is Right”, “2011/2012 Aria Awards”, “Australia’s Got Talent Auditions and Live Shows”, Australia Celebrates 2011/12″.

Audio Visual is one of the worlds fasted growing markets. Mitech keeps in contact with equipment manufactures and distributors on a constant basis ensuring up-to-date information on new models, design techniques and developments. We have many years experience in large scale video projection and presentation systems.
Theatre Staging Design and Rigging Systems
From a basic stage riser to fly towers, lighting bars, catwalks, and suspension systems, Mitech is able design and coordinate a solution that is functional and suits the venue requirements.
Television Facilities Design
Ian Anderson is a trained Television Technical Director and is highly experienced in the layouts, design features and equipment installation requirements of any studio and broadcast situation. Trained at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School (1991-1994), Ian has experience in all areas of television production and holds a Television Operators Certificate of Proficiency. Being an operator of equipment as well as a consultant puts Ian in the unique position of understanding the needs of the clients, not only from the position of system design but also the end user. Mitech Design also provides outside broadcast design and management solutions.
Production Communications Design
Mitech Design has been actively involved with many of the largest temporary communications installations around the world and the specification of broadcast level systems in venues in Sydney. The communication system forms the heartbeat of any theatre, performance or broadcast. Mitech Design has experience in communications from a small theatre to the largest entertainment and sporting events worldwide. Ian has a understanding of Clearcom, Riedel and RTS systems.
Tender and Specification preparation for the above
Mitech Design provides a complete design and documentation package for all of the above services. Clear documentation is essential in any project. Industry standard drawing and design packages such as AutoCAD, Vectorworks, Capture and Stardraw AV are used to document and liaise with other disciplines as required.
Architect Liaison, Project Supervision and Commissioning
Mitech Design is well versed in dealing with architects, engineers and other specialised consultants. This is an integral service that we believe is the most important part of a refurbishment or new construction. Effective communication between all the specialised disciplines, such as architectural, electrical, mechanical and performance system consultants ensures the smooth amalgamation of the technical systems into the entire building project. Full contractor supervision and installation commissioning can also be provided by Mitech Design and its partners.
